Trampoline to fit Hobie® 16 Catamaran - Bias Cut Textilene 90 Mesh

Overview:

Our heavy-duty premium mesh one-piece bias cut trampoline to fit a Hobie® 16 is very well built with these unique features:

• Bias cut one-piece design for uniform tension
• Rear lacing only with built in rear line catcher
• Adjustable hiking straps
• Trapeze grommets at 25" and 31" aft of forward beam on port and starboard side
• 12" x 12" halyard pocket near the mast base
• Made of high-quality and very durable PVC coated 1000 Denier Polyester Textilene 90 trampoline mesh
• Excellent UV and microbial resistance
• Sewn with large size V-138 UV-stabilized polyester thread (Teflon thread available as an upgrade for ultimate UV resistance)
• Heavily reinforced with 3" wide heavy-weight polypropylene webbing in grommet areas
• At least five rows of stitching in high-load areas (compared to 2 rows from other manufacturers)
• Multi-layer construction in high-stress sections to better spread the load; three layers of mesh and a layer of webbing
• We personally pound each #4 spur grommet by hand (spur grommets are tough; they have 'teeth' that bite into the fabric)
• Aft grommets installed on 4" centers (Hobie® originally installed them on 6" centers)

Available Options (at an extra cost): 

• Tenara Teflon Thread - By adding this option to your trampoline order we'll sew your new SLO Sail and Canvas trampoline in Tenara Teflon thread by Gore. Tenara has a 15 year warranty in the sun. If you store your boat on the beach this is the best thing you can add to extend the life of your trampoline. Our standard thread is a V-138 polyester thread that is UV stabilized and will last 5-7 years+ in the sun. 
• Zippered Pocket - A larger zippered pocket perfect to hold water bottles, lunch, or sunscreen. The pocket dimensions are roughly 10"x115" and 3" tall. Dimensions may vary slightly depending on the trampoline because of other things getting in the way of a bigger pocket such as hiking straps and lacing grommets, trapeze grommets, jib strop grommets etc. We put the pocket inboard of the hiking straps on Hobie® 16's on the starboard side of the trampoline. 
• Lace Kit - Pre cut 1/4" line to lace up your new trampoline. Available in white or black.

Note on installation:

The side rails will need the track opening towards the front of the boat per the manual. If your boat has the track openings at the back of the boat, you will either need to disassemble the frame and flip the side rails or purchase a 3-piece trampoline. Additionally, the mast step was sometimes installed with extra long rivets which will prevent the forward boltrope of the bias trampoline from sliding all the way across the boat. You can slide your existing trampoline from side to side to determine whether your boat has long rivets. If long rivets were installed, you can drill them out and install the proper rivets (Hobie p/n 8010131 qty. 3). These details are also explained in the video.
