    • Sunfish Mast Up Flat Cover made in America by skilled artisans at SLO Sail and Canvas. 1/4" shockcord is built into cover to secure your cover tightly around the boat's rubrail. Webbing loops are sewn around the perimeter of our top covers allowing your cover to be tied to your boat. A mast collar fits tightly around your boat’s mast. All of our covers are patterned from the actual boats they are designed to fit. This make for a better, higher quality product.

    • Product Description

       

      Overview:

      Our Sunfish® mooring cover fits snugly below the rub rail of the hull to seal out dirt and water.

      This cover is installed with the mast up and the spars and sail down. This cover is held on by an elastic cord in the hem of the cover; there are also tie down points about every three feet around the cover. There is a cutout for the mast that has a tall tie-on collar; the mast cutout is connected to the side of the cover with a large #10 YKK zipper between the mast cutout and the starboard gunwale. The zipper is also covered with a flap of fabric to increase UV resistance. The spars and sail that protrude off the back of the boat are covered with an attached Velcro on flap that wraps around the spars, protecting your spars and sail from UV damage. 

      This sailboat cover is compatible with our Sunfish® hull cover if you want to completely enclose your boat. 

      You can add straps (click here for more information) and/or a bow cutout in the upgrade menu found above.

      We offer this cover in three different fabric types, look over the fabrics in the drop down chart below.

      This cover will work best and allow for the main halyard to remain completely run through the masthead and deck leads if it is 29 feet long or longer. Shorter main halyards will work but you may need to partially unreeve them to make it all work fine. The SLO Sail and Canvas Sunfish Line kit will be nicely compatible with this cover.       3. Wish I knew about this sooner

        I had not heard about Slo Canvas until I kayaked past a dock with a sunfish and saw a cover that fit like a glove. I got closer and saw the tag. Thank goodness I did! The Slo Canvas cover is the best fit I've ever found. I'm done using ill-fitting "John Boat" covers. I added the extra bells and whistles for the bow handle slit, straps, and the boom extension cover. This was worth the wait. on 31st Aug 2020

      5. I liked it so much I bought another one for my other Sunfish.

        Excellent cover. I don't know why these were not made years ago when Sunfish was selling ten thousand boats a year. I would suggest the add on's as the handle opening makes it easy to move and lock up. Also leaving the sail on is a plus.
        More than worth the cost. Keeps the deck and sail from weather and sun.
        I give it a ten out of ten any day. The workmanship is a class act.

      6. I saw it on a Sunfish on vacation in St. Thomas VI. Had to have one.

        I saw the cover on a Sunfish in the Virgin Islands, (I have three) I took a picture of the label and when I got home I looked it up expecting it to cost way more than I was willing to spend. Not so. It was a really good price, ordered it and I just unpacked it I have not put it on the boat yet, way to early on the East Coast for sailing. But I'm sure it will be really perfect. I guess I will need to order two more. I keep my boats on the beach and keep them rigged taking only the sail down and tied. It is worth every penny to keep the deck and sails from sun damage. I would say if you want to cover your boat, it's the best I have ever seen.
        Can't wait to start the summer.

      8. Completely Dry and Clean!

        I received my new Sunfish cover last fall and used it on my very vintage Sunfish. When I opened the cover last month, the boat was completely dry and clean! Now that sailing season is here, I enjoy being able to keep the spars, sail and deck protected and no longer have to remember to replace the drain plug before launching. The cover is extremely well made and easy to use after each sail. Thank you! on 22nd Dec 2014
