Return and Exchange Policy
You may return (at your cost) most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a partial refund. There are no returns or exchanges on sails, battens, cut line, or custom/customized items. Returns and exchanges can only be made by the original purchaser. This policy applies to purchases directly from SLO Sail and Canvas. If you purchased a product through a third party, you will need to contact them directly.
If the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.), we'll pay the return shipping costs and ensure that you receive exactly what you ordered in perfect condition.
Because all items that SLO Sail and Canvas sells are built or cut as ordered and are considered a semi-custom part, there is a 20% restocking fee if the return or exchange is of no fault of SLO Sail and Canvas. If there is an exchange, you would then be responsible for any additional charges or may be entitled to a refund, depending on the case.
This includes but is not limited to ordering products for an incorrect boat, incorrect style, incorrect color etc. You can call or email if you need help in the selection process or if you need color samples; we are more than happy to help! Please read product descriptions carefully and call before ordering if you have any questions.
Return/Exchange Procedure
Please contact us before (phone or email) returning items so that we can better handle the return. When you contact us, we will need the purchase number or the full name of the purchaser and the reason for the return. If you do need to return or exchange an item, please include your contact information in the box including name, phone number, order number, etc.

If a refund is due, you should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. Customers may be responsible for import duties based on the destination country. SLO Sail and Canvas does not collect tax on any item shipping internationally; we especially do not collect VAT taxes.
International Shipments are sometimes delayed and the original tracking information may provide only limited tracking information once your order has left the USA. To track your international order once it has left the USA CLICK HERE to go to the EMS Global Network. Select your country / the country to which your order is being delivered. Enter your 13 digit tracking number to receive the most up to date information and get information about making inquiries related to the status of your order's delivery.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
