Pro CompTip Cover to fit Hobie® 18/20

Overview:

Our Comp Tip Cover to fit Hobie 18 and Hobie 20 catamarans with Comp Tip masts.

Our Comp Tip Cover is made from your choice of polyester, Sunbrella or TopGun fabrics (fabric specific information can be found in the drop-down table below) with a red vinyl re-enforcement at the tip along with a reflective strip for visibility and a UV resistant buckle for fastening it around your mast hound. It can be fastened around your cables or under your cables to accommodate a variety of trailering styles. There are also two small grommets at the tip to allow for water to drain.

Note:

This is our premium comp tip cover, we also have a more economical solution that fits the Hobie® 16, the Hobie® 18 and the Hobie® Miracle 20.

In the United States, Hobiecat® Co. implemented the use of composite tips to protect sailors from the risk of electrocution while rigging their boat and accidentally connecting with an overhead power line. The composite section of the mast is more susceptible to UV damage than the rest of mast and is often covered when the mast is down to protect the mast tip.
