Overview:
This sailboat Skirted Mast Up Cover will completely enclose your O'Day Daysailer deck plus the majority of your hull's sides and transom, protecting your boat from the elements while the mast is up.
This skirted cover is installed with the mast up and has four cutouts: one for the mast, two for the shrouds, and one for the forestay. The two shroud cutouts have Velcro closures. The forestay cutout is what we call a blunt bow, this means that the bow of the cover is cut off just behind the forestay and there is a strap with a buckle that goes around the bow of the boat. This is done because the forestay is so close to the bow of the boat. For the mast cutout, a large #10 YKK zipper is used between the mast base cutout and the starboard shroud cutout for ease of use and durability. The zipper is also covered with a flap of fabric to increase UV resistance. There is a tall collar that ties securely around the mast.
You can add straps in the upgrade menu found above.
We offer this cover in three different fabric types, look over the fabrics in the drop down chart below.
Note:
The O'Day Daysailer has been built by a variety of manufacturers over the years and at least two of these builders (McLaughlin and Precision) built boats with wider rub rails which ultimately produced a wider transom. Please select your manufacturer from the options so that we can ensure you receive a cover that fits your boat.
