Job Description: Manufacturing Assistant
SLO Sail and Canvas is looking for a new team member with diverse skills and experience, including knowledge of fabrication, sewing, and administrative work.
COMPETITIVE APPLICANTS WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO (or aptitude to learn how to):
- Build component parts for production.
- Safely operate industrial sewing machines, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Use proficient math skills for measurement, design, and build phases of projects.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for business operation plus communication with coworkers and clients.
- Use AutoCAD or SolidWorks drafting software for project design – preferred, not required).
REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW HIRE:
- Reliable transportation and valid California Drivers License.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Occasional out-of-town travel.
- Ability to lift 50lb.
