All of our sails are proudly designed and manufactured in our San Luis Obispo, CA sail loft. This mainsail is designed specifically to fit the Hobie 17. These designs are based on years of design and racing experience. SLO Sail and Canvas, like Hobie, produces a mainsail that works for both the newer SE and Sport models of Hobie 17. The Hobie 17 was offered with two different boomlets on the Sport model. The first version had a Harken track section slid over a bolt rope and bolted to the clew with no clew plate and the second had a short section of boom that slid over a boltrope and pinned to a clew plate. If you have the Harken track, please let us know when you order so we can build the sail to fit your hardware.
