Overview:
This specialty main halyard line assembly is created specifically for the Holder 20. This halyard is designed for boats that have a turning block at the mast base and use a cabintop winch and clutch system on the cabintop. The halyard can be trimmed to get the covered section of the halyard to land exactly where you need it for best holding in the clutch, and grip on the winch. The covered section has 8' of exposed cover. Two smooth taper splices neatly integrate the cover into the core. Each splice crossover is sewn on a sewing machine with two rows at 90 degrees to each other so the line maintains a round shape throughout the crossover. This is a very lightweight halyard with a total weight of about one pound. A ball-stop is used at the end of the halyard in place of a shackle for light weight and absolutely maximum mainsail hoist. The included ball-stop is sized to work with headboard holes up to 7/8" in diameter.
See diagram below to determine if this halyard is suitable for your Holder 20.
We expertly splice 2 lines to create a ready-to-sail main halyard for your Holder 20. We recommend using your existing halyard to pull this halyard through your mast.
