Economy CompTip Cover to fit Hobie® 16/18/20

Overview:

Our Economy Comp Tip Cover is made from polyester fabric with a red vinyl re-enforcement at the tip along with a reflective strip for visibility and a UV resistant buckle for fastening it around your mast hound. It can be fastened around your cables or under your cables to accommodate a variety of trailering styles.

This is our economy comp tip cover, we also have the Pro Comp Tip Cover - a more fitted solution that fits the Hobie® 16, Hobie® 18 and Hobie® Miracle 20.

In the United States, HobieCat® Co. implemented the use of composite tips to protect sailors from the risk of electrocution while rigging their boat and accidentally connecting with an overhead power line. The composite section of the mast is more susceptible to UV damage than the rest of mast and is often covered when the mast is down to protect the mast tip.
