Overview:
This sailboat mast up cover will completely enclose your 470 deck, protecting it from the elements.
Our 470 deck cover fits snugly below the rub rail of the hull to seal out dirt and water. The cover installs securely with an elastic cord and tie down points. This cover is installed with the mast up and has four cutouts: one for the mast two for the shrouds and one for the forestay. The forestay and shroud cutouts have a Velcro closure and a large #10 YKK zipper is used between the mast cutout and the starboard shroud cutout for ease of use and durability. The zipper is also covered with a flap of fabric to increase UV resistance. This cover fits with the boom attached at the gooseneck and the aft end of the boom resting in the cockpit.
We offer this cover in three different fabric types. The details of each fabric can be found below in the dropdown table.
Straps with quick-release buckles can be added (they replace the webbing loops) for an additional cost when a quick and secure tie down method is desired.
Reflective tape can be added for an additional cost at the stern for greater visibility when towing.
Note: All of our covers are patterned from the actual boats they are designed to fit. This make for a better, higher quality product.

excellent improvements
we liked the prior 20 year old cover, but felt it would've been nicer if it completely covered the deck to minimize sun damage and keep the cover from billowing when towing. And it would be nice if the zipper access was on Starboard to access the storage. Lo and behold, the new cover had both improvements. Well thought out, and we were pleased that the material was still really heavy duty. Thanks for the improvements John Michael on 20th Jun 2024
